As per regulation EU 2022/1616, the developer of the Functional Barrier technology must submit 6 monthly monitoring reports to the commission. The monitoring is targeting NIAS within the packaging.
The data needs to demonstrate that the technology is sufficiently decontaminating the recycled material in order to meet regulatory thresholds.
The collection of data to build up dossiers is recognized as the biggest challenge throughout the entire process of working on the dossiers:
- Running the right measurement techniques,
- Making sure that all labs are measuring the same, which needs proficiency tests,
- Aggregating the data in the same format.
In this regard, PETCORE as the developer, has contacted KOR Group to support the above activities. PETCORE and KOR Group will present the platform and targets to be reached during a FREE of charge webinar on September 12th from 16:00 to 17-30 PM CET.
