Chief Technology Officer at Reju

Dr Antoni Mariata is Reju’s Chief Technology Officer. After completing 2 post doctorate studies in Bioinorganic Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, Antoni worked for nearly 18 years in the chemical sector. Antoni’s knowledge and expertise of chemical engineering is invaluable, and he previously patented technology in this sector.

Antoni is passionate about making change and understands that textile waste is a problem for the planet: “The huge amount of used clothing that ends up in incinerators or landfills is the elephant in the room that is not talked about enough.”

Antoni previously held the position of Associate Professor at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and was an expert at the Solar Impulse Foundation.  He is a former member of EMEA Operations Management Team at Covestro AG.

Antoni is hopeful about the future of material regeneration and the contribution Reju will make to create a circular, textile-to-textile system for our unused clothing.
