CERTILOOP

Born in Istanbul in 1987, Yağmur Eroğlu is an environmental engineer and sustainability leader shaping Türkiye’s circular economy and advanced recycling landscape. After graduating from Trakya University, Department of Environmental Engineering, she complemented her industry experience with an Executive MBA from Istanbul University. Her career began in recycling and environmental consultancy, followed by a pivotal move in 2011 to PAGEV, where she played a founding role in establishing PAGÇEV—Türkiye’s national Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Scheme for packaging waste. Between 2014 and 2020, she as General Manager, leading one of the country’s most influential environmental organizations. During her tenure, PAGÇEV authorized nearly 2,000 companies annually, managed the recycling of packaging waste for approximately 13 million people across 16 cities and 81 municipalities, and delivered recycling education to more than 50,000 individuals. In 2021, she founded CERTILOOP, Türkiye’s first Conformity Assessment Body dedicated to recycling process evaluation and recycled content certification. Under internationally recognized accreditation, CERTILOOP provides certification services to converters, raw material producers, compound and additive manufacturers, and recycling facilities—strengthening supply-chain transparency and enabling compliance with global regulations. With deep expertise spanning plastics, recycling, circularity, and waste management, she advises companies on recyclable product design, zero-waste strategies, plastic waste management systems, and investment feasibility. Yağmur Eroğlu is married and has one child.
