Luigi Garavaglia is graduated in Food Technology at the University of Milan. He has spent more than 35 years in the area of Research and Development of packaging for foods. Currently, He is the R&D and Quality Assurance Manager of ILPA Group, an Italian company manufacturing rigid plastic packaging in RPET, PP and Biopolymers for food. Previously, He has worked in the R&D Department of several multinational companies -Cryovac Sealed Air, Combibloc Gmbh, Sirap-Gema Italy. He has experience in the area of formulation, extrusion, thermoforming, recycling technologies of containers for food, as well as in the application of MAP , vacuum, skin, active & intelligent packaging to FRM, F&V, Ready Meals, Cheese. He has knowledge in Quality Assurance System, BRC, Food law and Intellectual properties. Since 2021 he is Chairman of the PSE association (Pet Sheet Europe) and part of the Steering Committee of Functional Barrier Team.
